- Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress because one-to-one support is well used to address barriers to learning Support staff are increasingly able to identify immediate needs and adapt their approaches accordingly to get the best outcomes for pupils with additional needs.Ofsted on Heath School (CCfL Agincourt), March 2018
- Parents and carers are happy with their child’s progress and like the way the curriculum is adapted to suit pupils’ needs. Many parents used words such as ‘fabulous’ and ‘amazing’ to describe the support their child receives. They value the commitment of leaders and staff in helping their child to succeed. Staff enjoy working at the school and appreciate the support they receive from leaders. Staff work well together. There is a strong sense of community, centred on the learning and well-being of pupils.

KS3 and KS4 students follow the National Curriculum for Mathematics. We aim for students to become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, including through varied and frequent practice with increasingly complex problems over time, so that pupils develop conceptual understanding and the ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately. Students are also taught to reason mathematically by following a line of enquiry and developing an argument, justification or proof using mathematical language. Students are taught to solve problems by applying their mathematics to a variety of routine and non-routine problems with increasing sophistication, including breaking down problems into a series of simpler steps and persevering in seeking solutions.
